Premier Star Apples
Premier Star Apples were first discovered in 1999 on a home orchard in Nelson, a region known for growing New Zealand’s premier apples.
In 2007, the Premier Star apples were granted a Plant Variety Right (PVR) and the first small commercial volumes of Premier Star apples were planted.
Owned and exported exclusively by BOSTOCK New Zealand, Premier Star Apples are an excellent and superior early season pip fruit choice over the traditional Royal Gala variety.
Key Attributes of the Premier Star:
- The best season to harvest Premier Star apples would be February
- Sweet flavour similar to Royal Gala brix with a hint of tanginess
- Catches the eye with their stand out bright red blush
- An attractive, consistent round shape with firm skin
