Carrot and Chickpea Spread


  • 60 g Simply Natural Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 250 g ZENXIN Organic Carrots, peeled, cut in pieces (2 cm)
  • 100 g ZENXIN Organic Brown Onions, quartered
  • 20 g Simply Natural Fresh Raw Honey
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 245 g tinned Simply Natural Organic Garbanzo, drained, rinsed (drained weight)
  • 100 g tahini
  • 1 tsp Simply Natural French Sea Salt
  • ½ tsp Simply Natural Ground Black Pepper
  • 20 g ZENXIN Organic Lemon juice


  1. Place oil, carrots, onions, honey, cumin and coriander in a mixing bowl, place a splash guard on the mixing bowl lid and cook High Temp.
  2. Remove splash guard, insert measuring cup and blend 5 sec/speed 5. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula.
  3. Add chickpeas, tahini, salt, pepper and lemon juice then Blend/15 sec. Season to taste and serve warm or cold.
