Food has the power of healing and that has originated from the food itself. Here we have a list  that will help you achieve great health. 

1. Whole grains 

Eating wholegrains is one of the ways to benefit from its fibre for better digestion and prevent constipation. Also, its fibre content is beneficial for better control of blood sugar as it will regulate glucose metabolism and prevent sugar spikes in your body. Examples of whole grains would be brown rice, millet, quinoa, buckwheat, oatmeal and other whole grains products  that are not refined.

2. Beans and Legumes

Completing half of your plate with green leafy vegetables is useful in achieving your daily recommended intake of veggies of at least 3 servings a day. They are wonderful sources of phytonutrients, fibre vitamins and minerals that help to sustain your overall health, ranging from sharp vision, bright brain, strong heart and more.

5. Citrus fruits 

Having a fresh citrus fruit gives you a great boost of vitamin C that helps in maintaining your immune system. The presence of plant antioxidants help in clearing harmful free radicals that will cause cell damage leading to various chronic diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, obesity, diabetes, hypertension.
